am trying to strem with vlc over the internet, but am having a fw probs doing this does anyone know if this is possible, or if their is another app that is better suited for this i would like to stream both audio an video i use fc4.
would this require alot of bandwith if so around how much do i need up.
Errr yes, notice that video files tend to be reasonably large? Kind of a dead giveaway...

What resolution is the video encoded at? What bitrate is the audio? What codecs is it encoded with? Is the file 5MB or 5GB or somewhere in between? I left my broomstick and cauldron at work so if you'll help me with these few details I'll see what I can do for you.
Some simple math will show you required bandwith. All you need to know is duration in seconds and amount of data in MB or kB to calculate bandwith. Result can be easily converted from MB/s to kbit/s or Mbit/s.
