I type 'steam' in terminal to start it up and everything goes fine but the font. It pops up to the main steam startup page (I'm guessing?) with the font unreadable. I already made sure the language was en UTF-8 in locale-gen then ran locale-gen as root.

The error in terminal says

On these lines in the file there is nothings weird or any errors going on.

I'm running Arch-Linux with i3.

You need an override for dwrite.dll. Details are at Steam's appdb entry:

If you install Steam with winetricks, winetricks will take care of the override.
