Statistics on file accesses (Samba) ?

Hello,
I have a linux samba server in a LAN.
Is there a way to get some usage statistics about the samba server?
The most important thing for me would be to find out, which files are accessed how often.

I have searched several newsgroups and forums but didn't found an answer, so any help would be great!
Thanks in advance!

Hmm, or maybe is there a way to log file accesses on an ext3 partition?
That would help me, too...

hi,
but that is about intrusion detection and hasn't anything to do with analysing smb-logs, not?

It can make an audit trail of every file access. If you look at the first screenshot you can see it saying things like "The file /whatever/ has been opened by someuser".

It may not be the answer to your problem, but I thought it was worth mentioning.
