Statistics & Changing look of terminal

Hello, how can I change the look of my terminal? I'm using a statistical software which has no GUI and it runs directly in terminal. The stat website says that I can combine this stat software with programming text editor (like Vim). When I looked at Vim in Wikipedia, I liked it very much that different information is coded in different colors. How can I do the same with my terminal? or how can I combine the stat software with Vim?

can you give an example of the output of the stats software it may be easier to create a script that formats it in HTML that you can then view in a web browser.

I don't know what you mean exactly. It's R programming language, www.r-project.org I give input as orders and get the statistics as output. I saw once that someone had it on windows, using blue color for all input text and red color for output.

What do you mean opening in web-browser? I wouldn't want to make my statistics in firefox or something like this is it possible via Vim text editor (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vim_%28text_editor%29)?
