starting oracle enterprise manager

Could someone tell me what the executable is to launch stand-alone Oracle Enterprise Manager? I have a database up and running, but I need to be able to manage it! I am familiar with the windows version, and yes I have been googling all day with another win/oracle co worker.

Its Ora 10g on FC2

Thanks

DeanB

Try oemapp at bin directory under your installation tree.

They will list to you the several applications you will are able to run.

Good luck,

Eduardo

Have I messed up or something? Because I don't have any file called oemapp on my linux box.

This may be the wrong way of doing things, but this is what I am trying to do:

1. Restart my machine.
2. Start the listener: lsnrctl, start
3. emctl start dbconsole

It ends up with a FAILED message and:

snmehl_connect: connect failed to (localhose.localdomain:5500): Connection refused (error = 111)

I am not sure what this means, it must be something fundamental, could anyone give me the big picture here?

Thanks

DeanB
