Question Starting Citirx ICA Client on FC 6 fails

Hello !

I was wondering if anyone can help me....I use Citrix ICA client to connect to our work network and I'm trying to set it up on my new FC6 laptop.

I've installed the Citrix ICA Client software on my new FC6 system using the --nodeps switch as follows:

# rpm -Uhv --nodeps ICAClient-9.0-1.i386.rpm
Preparing... ########################################### [100%]
1:ICAClient ########################################### [100%]

I was told this would prevent the previous errors I was getting (attempts to reference the libXm.so.3 shared libraries that are installed as part of openmotif.....I believe openmotif has been removed from FC6 due to licensing issues).

Anyway as seen above the install was successful.....but now when I attempt to start the ICA Client from the command line using:

# cd /usr/lib/ICAClient/
# ./wfcmgf

I recieve the pop-up lience file agreement....when I type "yes" the agreement dissapears and the following error is displayed at the command prompt:

./wfcmgr.bin: error while loading shared libraries: libXm.so.3: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

Looking in the /usr/lib location I can see a symbolic link that already exists ?

# cd /usr/lib
# ls -lrt | grep libXm
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 10 Dec 13 09:57 libXm.so.3 -> libXm.so.4

I really need some assistance with this...any help would be much appreciated.

I've trawled through google and can't really find anything of assistance.

I don't want to to go back to M$ Windoze on my laptop.

Thanks,

ozzielabrat

You could try finding an openmotif-2.2.3-6.i386.rpm that closest matches your distro release and unpack it outside your $PATH, then "export LD_LIBRARY_PATH="/unpacked/dir/openmotif-2.2.3-6/lib"" before you run the app.
