Standard in must be a tty error when starting cloudera on RHEL 6.4

Installed cloudera on a RHEL6.4 and trying to start it as non root user,however in my cloudera-scm-server.out log I get the following message "standard in must be a tty".The service does not start.

I have harshed out Defaults requiretty in the sudoers file but still no luck.

Please assist.

well how did you install this software ?

source build of the current code ?
using yum ?
from "https://www.cloudera.com"
https://www.cloudera.com/content/clo...formation.html
the rhel6
http://archive.cloudera.com/cm4/redhat/6/x86_64/cm/4/
using this repo
http://archive.cloudera.com/cm4/redh...a-manager.repo

or from some random rpm found on some random site ?

Hi John

I did setup a repo for cloudera.Below is the config

[root@localhost yum.repos.d]# cat cloudera-cdh4.repo
[cloudera-cdh4]
name = Cloudera CDH, Version 4
baseurl = http://archive.cloudera.com/cdh4/redhat/6/x86_64/cdh/4/
gpgkey = http://archive.cloudera.com/redhat/c...G-KEY-cloudera
gpgcheck = 1
enabled = 1

When I start the service "/etc/init.d/cloudera-scm-server start" as root it starts fine.However as a non-root user is not starting up.
