squirrelmail log files

Hi there --

I am trying to locate, if they exist, the SquirrelMail log files. If they are generated, where would their location be? Thanks.

Since squirrelmail is a php web application, you should begin by looking in your web server logs (Apache, lighttpd, or whichever web server you're using). I don't think squirrelmail keeps it's own logs.

Squirrelmail Logging Plugin

There is a logging plugin for squirrelmail. https://squirrelmail.org/plugin_view.php?id=52 You can define logs how you like them with this plugin. I'm investigating this in order to create logs necessary for the squirrelmail jail in fail2ban. Fail2ban on the mail server would just block the web server if I allowed it rather than the IP that is trying to abuse it.
