Spaceball problem

I have recently installed a design commercial software on my Linux SuSE system. When I run it, a window which is the software working window pops up but it gets freezed immidiately and all the bottoms are inactive, even the X bottom (on the top-right of the window which closes the window) so I need to close the konsole. There is a message in the message box though saying:

Could not start spaceball driver.

I was using the older version of this software by a few days ago and everything was fine. I just upgraded it and now it does not work and gives me this message.

Does anybody have any idea what this means and how to fix it please? I really need this.

Thank you

.

Have you googled for this? I've never heard of a spaceball driver, but I see lots of info about it via google. What is the name of the software you installed? Have you searched for forums/tech support/etc?
