Hi everybody,

I'm planning to make our fraternity's financial manager's work a little bit easier with some good piece of software. Since we don't need anything like calculating taxes, but some other features listed below, standard financial software seems not to be the right choice. I'm planning to start my own project on this when I've got time again if we won't find anything suitable.

Needed features:
-multiple accounts
-multiple users (not user accounts!)
-sorting and calculating data in different sheets
-printing function (or PDF output or something similar)

The problem is this:
- We've got several accounts for several things (drinks, snacks, telephone etc.) and give out bills every once in a while.
- Every user is listed on each bill.
- The different bills have to be payed on several bank accounts (one per bill), so we can't calculate the sums of each user together and put it into one bill.
- We also calculate the sum of all amounts of all users to see all the outstanding debts of each user at once.

If you can help me, please tell me where to find such a program. I think there might be other clubs/societys with the same or a similar financial structure (especially european fraternities ;-), so there might be a solution.

how about GNUCash? (http://www.gnucash.org/). It's akin to MS Money.

Thanks everybody for replying. I've taken a look at GnuCash, but it doesn't seem the right thing for me - I'm focusing more and more on self-programming - we'll see.
