smilutils ffmpeg2raw

I was looking for a way to convert a mpeg or vob or avi to raw dv and cam across a program called smilutils that tauted a subroutine called ffmpeg2raw and one of its utilities. After fighting with dependencies to install from source ( tried with the same results installing from rpm) I got it in only to find that among all the utilities it configured the only one it left out was.... you guessed it.... ffmpeg2raw. It's listed among all the other apps in the source directory. Why didn't it configure with the rest?

the maker offers a bunch of sample scripts that include this utility so he must assume it installs. Am I doing something wrong?

anybody? I guess I will try and send the author an email too.

Thanks

Jack

The author says ffmpeg2raw is dead. Guess I will have to try something else.
