Smarter Eclipse Diff Tool??

Hi,

I am really frustrated with the built-in diff tool provided with Eclipse (when doing a synchronization of two files). It is not very intelligent; it claims that two identical pieces of code are not similar in that one section should be removed and replaced with itself from the repository. Might anyone know of a more sophisticated difference tool for Eclipse? A quick search with google shows me only proprietary / paid for apps. I prefer to search for a plugin that works in Eclipse, as I need to compare my current workspace files with a repository, and am not sure how to use an external diff to accomplish this.

I would GREATLY appreciate any feedback, as this is really bugging me.

Thanks,
AM
