slocate web frontend ?

Hello there,

A client of mine wants for his personal dvd's a quick
way (preferably using a browser form or whatever)
to find which file is on which dvd ... so I suggested
slocate/updatedb but he doesn't like the command prompt.
I know there is something called xlocate but he doesn't
like the idea of running X progs on his windows box.
So I was wondering if anyone out there already found
some package to search the locate db files through a
web frontend. Thought i'd just ask before coding it myself ... huh.

Thankx a bunch,

Tim

(s)locate db wouldn't really be of help I think since the cronjob only runs at certain intervals and most certainly not all DVD's are indexed then). What you could do is find media indexing OSS at say Freshmeat or Sourceforge. Usually the popular ones come with a browser interface.
