slackware 9.1 install problem CD error

so ive tried using 2 different brand of CDr and two different CDrom drives and still the error. im installing slack 9.1 from the 2 Cds and im doing a full package installation, about 15 seconds into the install i get fatal CD errors and corrupt packages errors on everything and im going nowhere. my computer isnt that new and its an AMD. is there a way i can get around this,, im also willing to install over the network but i need to know the name of NFS server or something and i dont know the onformation i need for the network install. but if anyone can get me started on either of these two install meathods id be highly appreciative of it..tnx

Did you run an MD5SUM on the images both before an after you burned them to CD? That's the first thing I'd check. -- J.W.

Are you getting SegV errors? (segmentation fault) Is your system overclocked? Some AMD processors are buggy and can cause SegV errors.

Maybe your download is corrupt? You might have to re-download the CD. I don't know how to do a network install though, sorry.
