SIS driver : out of video memory

Hi.

When running an xscreensaver hack that uses 3D, such as "pipes", the hack crashes with the following message:

SIS driver : out of video memory
Fatal errors in sis_dri.so

My video card is a Daytona SIS 6326 3D with 4 MB of memory.

I am running Red Hat Linux 7.3, with
xscreensaver-3.33-4, and XFree86-4.2.0-8 (which I think are just the versions that come with RH 7.3). I run X at 800x600x16bit resolution.

How can I fix this problem?

Many thanks,

Ph.

hi

Hi man
I'm answering because I have Ideals of principles, and I want to help people (in my principles). SO, we read your message with a friend and we would like to tell you before all :

CHANGE YOUR VIDEO DEVICE!!!!!!!!!

It's not very expensive, and 4 MB is so few !!!

Sorry, I'm a newbie, that's all I know.
If you're not a newbie, maybe you can answer my questions, that would be cool.

See you !!!

Long life to Linux

Vic
