Simple parse of html file using bash

Hi, must be easy for the pros here, I need something to just dump the title of a html page, i.e. anything between the <title> and </title> tags. Theres no xml parser so something using awk etc will do. Also, I only want the first just in case this pair does occur again in the file. Thanks in advance.

You don't have access to Perl? Or PHP? Or Ruby? Or Python?

Really...? Have you looked?
