Set RTS high on serial port

Hello list,

I have made a cable (http://www.beskeen.com/astro/SerialD...rolCables.html) to trip the shutter of my digital SLR which connects to my PC through the serial port. By setting the RTS on the serial port the shutter is opened, and it is closed by returning RTS back to low. I would like to control the RTS pin of the serial port from the command line.

How should I do this in a C program and could it be done using existing linux commands?

Regards,
Regulus
