I have a program I need to set up motor controllers for a robot. It is composer software from Elmo motion control.

The software is only available for windows. It installs just fine and seems to run fine too. I just can't get it to talk to the controllers via serial. I added sym links in my dosdevices folder to map com2 and com4 to ttyUSB0 and ttyUSB1. It seems to write to the port because I can see the commands flowing out if I open a serial terminal, but the software doesn't seem to be able to receive data from the port. I have only limited wine experience. Thanks in advance.

My understanding is that you are trying to connect from serial in your program under wine to USB from the computer to the motor controllers. Have you tried to use the serial ports on the computer to connect to the motor controllers?
