SDL is driving me crazy!

Ok, so I mucked with SDL, and now it gives me this:

Unpacking libsdl1.2debian-all (from libsdl1.2debian-all_1.2.7+1.2.8cvs20041007-5.3_i386.deb) ...
dpkg: error processing libsdl1.2debian-all_1.2.7+1.2.8cvs20041007-5.3_i386.deb (--install):
trying to overwrite `/usr/lib/libSDL-1.2.so.0.7.1', which is also in package sdl
dpkg-deb: subprocess paste killed by signal (Broken pipe)
Errors were encountered while processing:
libsdl1.2debian-all_1.2.7+1.2.8cvs20041007-5.3_i386.deb

I don't know what to do, it does that with

Code:
apt-get -f install
and
Code:
dpkg -i libsdl1.2*tab*
Any help? This is kubunu hoary.

You could just uninstall the Debian SDL package and then install/reinstall the CVS version... sometimes that's the only way to solve these kinds of problems.

Thanks, but I just reinstalled the system. I tried uninstalling it via kynaptic, but only after I typed:
Code:
rm /lib/libsdl....
Needless to say it didn't uninstall. Anyway, no more SDL problems.
