Scons install problem

Hey there,

I am trying to get Cheesetracker working on my linuxbox (slack 10), but CT requires scons for an install. Thats okey with me, but scons tells me sigc++-1.2 cannot be found by pkgconfig though it is installed. The exact output is:

Checking for libsigc++-1.2...
Package sigc++-1.2 was not found in the pkg-config search path.
Perhaps you should add the directory containing `sigc++-1.2.pc'
to the PKG_CONFIG_PATH environment variable
No package 'sigc++-1.2' found

I have compiled the package a few times b/c i thought maybe something went wrong, but it didnt help. I have set the PKG_CONFIG_PATH to the dir containing the .pc file, but it just wont work. Its getting me frustrated. I havent got an idea how to overcome this problem. Maybe I am overlooking something but I just wouldnt know what. Perhaps some of the LQ-readers can offer some help?

Thanks in advance
