Samba share over diskless machine...


Can a samba share be accessed over a diskless machine ?

Is NFS the only way for a diskless machine to boot on LINUX server ?

(Actually i want few of my users to access a dos version of a mailing solution. I'll keep it on linux box, but how to allow them to access it thru diskless machines?)

A remote samba share can be accessed after Linux brings up your network interface (typically in runlevel 3). Likewise NFS.

Diskless machines use TFTP to boot.
