D: +++ 365 rpm-3.0.6-6x
D: adding "rpm" to Name index.
D: adding 88 entries to Basenames index.
D: adding "System Environment/Base" to Group index.
D: adding 18 entries to Requirename index.
D: adding 5 entries to Providename index.
D: adding 2 entries to Conflictname index.
Segmentation fault

how can I fix this thing.

Yup, I really do. I have a screwed up rpm database. No backup's either.

I tried to upgrade rpm-3.0.6-6x to rpm-4.0.2-5x, and this screwed up the database.

Any way to recover????? I've been looking for help all over, but did'nt find one.

A redhat upgrade is really bugging... really lots of dependencies and relates stuff.

Some one please help. I need to get the rpm database up.

Reinstall

Learn how to keep version's from conflicting.

Nothing will help but a reinstall.
