RPM FIle


Hi,

I am new to linux and in studying stage , i downloaded the i386 rpm files and used the command rpm -ivh *.rpm to install the files , i am not sure where does the extracted rpm package will be located , can anyone help me to find out the location exactly.

If already you can use this command to see what and where the files are at.
rpm -ql name_of_package
Do not include the rpm extension since once installed it is no longer a package.
Run the command ' man rpm ' to learn many more switches and options you can use.
