rpm-4.2

I'm trying to install net-snmp-5.1 and it had a dependency (rpm-4.2)

When I try to install rpm-4.2, i get the following error:

error: cannot create %sourcedir /usr/src/redhat/SOURCES
I didn't have any issues with this before when I was running Fedora C1 - could this be because I'm not running Core 2? If so, any suggestions on workarounds?

error message says
/usr/src/redhat/SOURCES
try doing
mkdir -p /usr/src/redhat/SOURCES
and then try to install the package.
