Reverting GTK2 open/save dialog box to old (GTK1) style

OK. I HATE GNOME 2.6-styled open/save dialog box to the uttermost. Even now the newer firefox (1.5.0.1) has it. If you don't know it, see here:

http://www.gnome.org/start/2.6/notes/rnwhatsnew.html

See figure 6. I know that Ctrl+L would open the text line from which we have BASH-like tab completion. But I like the old style much better! How to revert it to the old dialog box, with location on the bottom and list of files on the top.

How to revert this? is it possible, if at all? I scoured the web using some search terms (GTK2, GNOME, dialog, revert, old) and nothing comes up readily.

you can't. this is a stock gtk2 widget, you can't just replace it (unless you actaully edit source code etc...)
