Arrow restoring files by mc


hi!!! all,


When i use the command mc(mid night commander)
It displays .doc & pdf files etc in an understanding manner.
when i click on the command in the toolbar appeared
as undelete files in only ext2.. Wht is the procedure
to recover all the deleted files in ext2 of linux machine ..
Is there any special way to keep most important
files in ext2 filesystem ...


or is there any shell script to restore all deleted
files in ext2 filesystem..

It is not very practical to try to recover deleted ext2 file systems. It is much more practical to have a good backup and restore system.

You can use the debugfs to try and recover a deleted ext2 file. Using debugfs for this purpose is messy, only sometimes successful, and can easily damage your filesystem.
