"Wht is the procedure

It is not very practical to try to recover deleted ext2 file systems. It is much more practical to have a good backup and restore system.

You can use the debugfs to try and recover a deleted ext2 file. Using debugfs for this purpose is messy, only sometimes successful, and can easily damage your filesystem.

Be prepared. Create a LifeBoat CD.
