Removing Windows 2000

Dear all experts,

I have tried to seek for solution on this, but I couldn't find any. If there is any provided solutions, please kindly direct me, and reallythanks for that.

I have dual boot (GRUB) for Windows 2000 and RH Linux 8. My question is very simple, how could I remove Windows 2000 without affecting the Linux partition, and reuse the Windows partition on Linux? At the same time, how could I remove GRUB and make the machine boot to Linux?

Please help. Thank you very much.

Best regards,
Jordan

you will not need to remove grub as you need it [a boot loader] to boot to any OS. You can run disk druid [or some other partition application] and delete the w2k partition.
I hope this helps - if so ~ You are very welcome.

NB - you should edit the grub.conf file and #comment out the win2k listing.

you can then use the new partition as a storage partition or something. This will be alittle more secure and it may help you recover from any problems later by keeping this separate.
