removing taskbar button for specific apps

i was wondering if anyone knew how to remove the button that appears while using xmms. i'm using kde 3.2.3 i dont want to get rid of my taskbar completely, i just want xmms to put an icon in my system tray rather than my taskbar when closed/minimized, much like kopete does.
