Remote Systems Management

Hi everybody.

I am in search for a client server system for pushing out updates to remote linux systems from one central system.

Updates could consist of config files, new binaries, library files, whatever.
Also, I would need to possibly be restarting services or running commands (lilo, ldconfig, etc) for changes to take effect so it would need the abilty to perform such actions as well.

In addition to that it would have to have some sort of reporting mechanism to tell me what machines completed the update and what machines failed, and why they failed.

Please let me know if you know of a project like this or any other ideas you have.

Thanks, Ian
