redhat - installation trouble

Whenever I try to install redhat from a boot cd it asks me if i want to do a graphical or text install (i choose graphical) and then loads the anaconda loader, but after that the screen goes black and the monitor switches off. Is there a known problem with this?

Im running:
p4 celeron 1.3ghz
40gb hard drive (5 gb linux ext2 partition)
nvidia fx5200 and 4mb onboard (it seems to always detect the onboard)
512mb sdram

also have windows xp on other partition

It is not, as i run the installation in grpahic mode. You can still run it in text mode, which is not that hard.
