use mplayer, with the -dumpstream option to dump the data directly into a file in the same format. alternativly use mencoder to encode it to a format of your choice.

Kaffiene will let you capture a video stream. I recorded Pink Floyd's Live8 performance using Kaffiene.

Mplayer does that excellently. Example.
Code:
mplayer -dumpstream -dumpfile nameit.rm http://www.path/to/stream/stream.rm

His,
Thanks everybody, all suggestions worked. I´ve come up with this mimms, from debian reps, which is quite simple, also.
Just do
mimms -o nameofthefile.wmv mms://etc etc
