Really slow internet

Just switched to Linux Mint 17.1 and updated the system completely.
My internet however is slow, from 6mb/s DOWN and 1MB/s UP which is REALLY GOOD in my country and for my preferences(when i had windows 7) so.. i switched as i said to linux and now my connection is just.. WOAH 130kb/s download speed 76KB/S up speed, what happened? help me? I updated everything that was on the list, i even downloaded a third-party driver for it, installed it and now it's not that lagging but still i want my fast internet back, and also..
I tried to install amd LEGACY driver 13.1 and it fails it said i can only do it with --force but it will not use hardware acceleration and my system may become unstable. (/lib/modules/3.13.0-37-generic/build/include/linux/version.h not found)

Help me with these two things please, if not possible i'll switch back to Windows.
My ethernet card is : Realtek 8111/8146/????(forgot) rev(3)

You can find your exact card type by doing:

Code:
lspci |grep Ether
lspci -n |grep xx:xx
where xx:xx is the PCI location that you get from the first command.
