Real Player No Sound

I have successfully installed Real Player 10 Gold in Libranet 2.8.1 However I do not get any sound when streaming live audio. The internet connection with Mozilla works fine and I can see that an audio stream is running. Music cd's also play ok, but not through Real Player.

Copy nphelix.so to your Mozilla plugins directory and nphelix.xpt to your Mozilla components directory.
These files are located in /usr/local/RealPlayer/mozilla.

Done this and still no sound. Window opens, buffering then streaming but no sound. CD and other theme type audio all ok.

exactly where did you put the nphelix.so and .xpt files? (Does this show up as a plugin in Mozillas plugins dialog?)

I had the same problem and easily fixed it by unmuting my audio channels. I got the idea from another forum so it seems this might be worthwhile for anyone with a similar problem. Simply go in your sound mixer and make sure no outputs are muted.
