To install ExifTool on CentOS or RHEL, first enable EPEL repository, and then run:
$ sudo yum install perl-Image-ExifTool

To install EPEL:

wget http://dl.fedoraproject.org/pub/epel...6-8.noarch.rpm
sudo rpm -Uvh epel-release-6*.rpm

Thanks, your info worked. I did not have to execute 'rpm -Uvh epel-release-6*.rpm'
as I was asked to do this interactively in CentOS (gnome destop).
