rdesktop issue

I have a Fedora server with rdesktop 1.6.0. My users can only launch rdesktop from the start menu (they don't have access to pull up a konsole). In the menu editor, the command that runs is "rdesktop -g 1479x1025:3561+0 hostname". My issue is that if a user exits the rdesktop session by clicking the red x in the upper right corner rather than using "Start-log off" method, then try to relaunch rdesktop, the command I find running under ps is "rdesktop hostname -g 1280x1024".

The only way I can get the rdesktop to come up with the correct size is to have them log all the way out and log back in.

My questions are, why is rdesktop running a different command if the user logs out incorrectly, and why do they have to log out and back in to get the command working correctly again, and is there a way I can fix this?

Thanks!!!

You should try running the command from the terminal and see if there's any output when you end the session different ways. One thing to note though, when you just close the rdesktop window, rather than logging out, the user stays logged in on the windows computer, so that might have something to do with it.

Turns out it was a combination of linux and windows. I found that there was a script being called when a user logged in that ran as opposed to just trying to launch it after he/she was logged in. Secondly, I found there was an issue on the windows side that if a user showed a disconnected RD, it was effecting the window size.
