quicken .qbb/.qbw

I have an older version of Intuit's Quicken which saves in .qbb and .qbw format. gnucash only imports .qif. Is there a conversion program or plugin for gnucash to handle these files? I think that I have done my due diligence in searching these forums and elsewhere without success. So, I guess this is close to my last resort.
TIA

Does it work if you just call them .qif and open them?

There is always Intuit's Quicken running under Crossover Office as a last resort (cause Crossover isn't free).
