Quanta behaving odd after dist-upgrade
After the dist-upgrade from Debian Sarge to Debian Etch, Quanta behaved odd and unstable. Quanta was 3.3, and is now 3.4.3 on KDE 3.5.4
It was impossible to dock windows, resize the main window, and many more things, which rendered Quanta virtually unusable. It also crashed occasionally.
To solve this, I removed the quantarc file in ~/.kde/share/config/, and the entire quanta directory ~/.kde/share/apps/
Quanta now behaves fine again.
I noticed that other applications (like Konqueror) do have problems as well when upgrading from one version to another due to the existing config files. Therefor it might be a good idea to always remove the old config files (or better rename them) when upgrading a program.
Maybe this is just an issue because Etch is Testing now.
