qmail and wrong domains

I have qmail running on a RedHat 9.0 box. The box is a webserver and is hosting several sites.

My problem is, is that every time a user sends mail through PHP that just has a "something@" as an email address, a default domain is assigned. something@baddomain.com. how do I change this default domain name issue. We have a client recieving all these bad emails but I not sure how to stop it.

Edit...

/var/qmail/control/defaultdomain

and put the domain you want to append.
