QGtkStyle was unable to detect the current GTK+ theme

Dear all,

i was just about to finish instaling Debian Whezzy on my new laptop and I just had migrated my home from the old computer to that new one when things started to fall apart. or sort of.

The last thing I did was to set the wifi. And then various programs stopped working: okular, kyle, kate.
mousepad and iceweasel work fine.

When I start one of the non working prgs this is what I get (for okular for instance)

QGtkStyle was unable to detect the current GTK+ theme.
okular(3816)/kdecore (KConfigSkeleton) KCoreConfigSkeleton::writeConfig:

The last significant thing I did to set up the wifi connection was:
Code:
# adduser nom_utilisateur netdev
Code:
# /etc/init.d/dbus reload
I mention this because I feel there is a connection betwenn dbus and QGtk.

Any idea what, why, and how to solve that?

THanks,

i omitted to mention that I uninstalled and reinstalled one of the prgs to see if it was doing anything but it is not.
Code:
$ apt-get purge okular
$ apt-get install okular
and then same error message

eventually I re-installed the system, first setting up the wifi and then installing KDE apps. It works fine. No idea if this is just luck. Hope this may help someone though
