You're using a Windows program, on Windows, to read a file...and are asking people on
LINUXQuestions how to make it work? No ideas...you say "format of logs", but don't tell us WHAT logs, or how you're capturing them. There MAY Be some settings in Windows VIM, Textpad, or Wordpad, but those would be questions for folks who use those Windows programs. There isn't anything to set on a Linux system to make this work...this is all Windows related.
