pulseaudio 12.2-1.
Can anyone tell me just how to set up all the various screens in PA?
I had the damn thing working (after MUCH futzing around) last winter, and
by some fluke, while switching recordings in YouTube, I lost every bit of sound that I had so laboriously figured out. (I'm sure I didn't help anything by playing with the various options after it bombed!)
The Devil made this program! Yes, I know his name--he also created
System D. Not on this machine--PCLOS.
If you have pavucontrol (the Pulse Audio mixer) installed, just open it and check all the settings under "Playback" and "Output Devices." If you don't have pavucontrol installed, install it and &c; it should be in your repos.
Make sure you check the "Show" button towards the bottom of the pavucontrol window to view all the options under each tab.
Also, if you lost sound under speakers, plug in a headset and check for sound.
Found it. CubeUtilities--whatever that is--was set to zero or off--I forget which. Now it works again.
PavuControl is shown to be installed in synaptic, but there is no entry for it in the Application Menu.
Thank you for the quick response.
