Proxy Server With Alert Feature?

Hello all,

I am currently looking for a decent proxy distro that will alert me whenever someone's screwing around on the network. For example, I actively ban MySpace, so when one of the users tries to go to MySpace, I'd like an email or some other way to be notified when such an occurence
happens.

Is there a distro that supports this feature out of the box, or an easy way to set something like that up? I've looked around and haven't found much.

Thanks for your help in advance!

AFAIK there's no proxy that does that. You could set up a cronjob to grep for such things in the proxy log.

Could build a snort box then write a rule that looks for myspace URL's and have it notify...

Scanning the log file would be less work though I think..

Yeah I think I'm going to have to go that route. But thanks for the reply! Sorry for the delay, I was on Christmas vacation.
