Question procmail won't deliver mail from other machines

Hi Folks,
I need more help. I gave up on trying to get sendmail to work and tried postfix. After two nights of trying I got outgoing mail to work and I can receive mail sent from a different account on the local system. Any mail originating from any other machine or domain gets delivered to procmail my postfix (at least according to the log) but never shows up in my mail folder. I have looked through the man page but can't find any ideas. I'm guessing I will have to re-compile procmail with a different configuration but the source package didn't seem to have much help in the configuration. Can soemone please point me in the right direction? Since this is running on my LFS server I will also need either a pop3 server or imap server. Any suggestions as to which protocol and/or package to use? Thanks in advance for any help.

Arnie

Hmm, forget the first question. I don't know what happened but all of a sudden it started working. I was polking around but I don't remember changing anything. :-( I hate when that happens. Anyway I am now need ing to set the LFS server up to receive connections from a pop/imap client on my workstation and allow me to pick up my mail there. I just googled for a pop server but didn't see anything that looked like it was what I wanted. Any suggestions??

This part has been fixed I think

Well, I think I now have a working postfix and I can send and receive mail directly from sendmail (postfix sendmail) and the incoming shows up in my /var/spool/mail/astender mailbox. Since I'm doing all this on LFS nothing happens by accident so I needed to get the imap/pop servers which I did. I was surprised to see they don't run as daemons but are started from xinetd. I went to xinetd.org and got the source. It compiled without errors and I installed it but I can't seem to get the daemons correctly configured in the /etc/xinetd.d files. I try to telnet in on the proper ports but only get connection refused. Can some one please send me a sample of a working file from a system that starts a pop or imap server from xinetd?
