Problems with YUM

I have Oracle enterprise Linux 5.

Whenever I try to install something via YUM I get
Quote:
There are unfinished transactions remaining. You might consider running yum-complete-transaction first to finish them.
The program yum-complete-transaction is found in the yum-utils package
And
Quote:
Public key for yum-utils-1.1.16-14.el5.centos.1.noarch.rpm is not installed
This is for all software

PS I have yum 3.2.22 and do not have yum-utils.
I have managed (without wanting to) to remove pirut as well.

Hi,

Have you interrupted a yum update/yum upgrade? That's why this error happens in my opinion. Delete contents from /var/cache/yum/ and try again.

Kind regards,

Eric

Hi,

Good suggestion above by Eric. You might want to perform the command :

$ sudo yum clean all <enter>

Regards
Prince

Any other ideas?
