Linux Educacional is a Brazilian version of Linux, made for digital inclusion in schools.
I'm in a project to instruct the children on games development, for this we're using RPG Maker XP, running in Wine.The program works great, in first view the only problem is the windows bar, because it crash when clicked.
But now I discovered another problem. None of the texts works on events, neither in game menu when testing. We suppose that is an error when trying to identify windows fonts, but I don't know how to solve this problem, if it's the problem and if it have a solution.
If you can help-me i'll be grateful.

if you are going to NEED and USE a Microsoft ONLY program then run it on MICROSOFT

what are the versions of software on it ?

as for text ?? only a guess but i would bet that it is looking for some Microsoft only( copy-right) true-type fonts
most of them have been released and are free to install

but as to HOW to install the "msttcore-fonts-2.0-3" fonts on this distro ??? i have NO idea

most fonts on most linux distros can just be copied to the fonts folder or the users $home/.fonts folder

but then adding the fonts to the wine " MS system registry "
a question -- do you know how to use the Microsoft tool " regedit.exe" on windows
Wine might need to have it's registry edited to use the fonts .

Well, I can't use windows because de school only have Linux, We pretend to use next year Construct, butwe're learning yet.
Linux Educacional is based on Kubuntu 8.04
I can't answer de version of wine 'cause I need to go to school to see. This website is correct, but your spanish doesn't help much, it's in portuguese =D
The version of RPG Maker XP is 1.03
I don't have Wine here, but i want to know if exist some directory in wine C:/windows/fonts. Maybe I can install the fonts in this directory.

Wine's "C: drive" is located at ~/.wine/drive_c.
