Problems in installing Skype on Ubuntu 12.10.

I want to install skype on my newly installed machine 64bit architecture. When i tried to install using software center it gives in an error that lib32sdtc++6 in not installed. When i tried to install lib32sdtc++6 it gives me under given error,
The following packages have unmet dependencies:
lib32stdc++6 : Depends: lib32gcc1 (>= 1:4.1.1) but it is not going to be installed
Depends: libc6-i386 (>= 2.4) but it is not going to be installed
E: Unable to correct problems, you have held broken packages.

When i tried to install libc6-i386 it gives me under given error,
The following packages have unmet dependencies:
libc6-i386 : Depends: libc6 (= 2.15-0ubuntu18) but 2.15-0ubuntu20 is to be installed
E: Unable to correct problems, you have held broken packages.

and this problem continues every time I try to install the dependenceses.

Could any one give me the clue how to fix this problem.

I am also facing the similar problems while installing virtual box but in that case the packages are mostly related qt4.

Regards,

Have you looked here?

https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Skype

The help page doesn't mention multiarch but this package pulls in most all the 32 bit libraries in one fell swoop:

http://packages.ubuntu.com/quantal/ia32-libs-multiarch

I would suggest using command line or synaptic to install stuff but that is just my opinion. Never cared for software center....

After executing the commands mentioned in the link,
sudo add-apt-repository "deb http://archive.canonical.com/ $(lsb_release -sc) partner"
sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get install skype

I got these errors.
