Problem with Sendmail "set sender using -f"

Hi,

I have search this forum and did not find anything related to this issue, so I am writing to hope someone will point me to the problem area.

I am having this problem for awhile and I am not sure how to solve it. It doesn't happen very often.

I read somewhere that I need the trusted-users file with the valid users id, which I had. UserA is inside trusted-users.

Scenario:
Sender send email to userA.
UserA had a autoreply set, but was somehow set the sender to UserB instead of UserA (See below log)

User A - .forward
*****************
\UserA
"|/etc/usermin/forward/autoreply.pl /home/userA/autoreply.txt UserA"

Email Log
*********
May 24 08:29:24 mail02 sendmail[28310]: p4O0TONP028310: Authentication-Warning: mail02.mydomain.com: userA set sender to userB@domain.com using -f

Why am I getting this and how do I solve it?

Thanks.

EDIT: I am using sendmail v8.14.3 (slackware 12.2, kernel 2.6.27.7-smp)

Hi,

You should uncomment the following line in /etc/mail/submit.cf
Quote:
Ft/etc/mail/trusted-users
and restart sendmail

And please do not double post your questions.

Regards
