Red face Problem with my side panel

Hi all,

Ones when I rebooted by RH7.3, the side panel never started up.
And when I type panel in a terminal this is the message I get:
panel: relocation error: panel: symbol , version GLIBC_2.0 not defined in file with link time reference

Does anyone know how I can fix this problem?
Everything was working fine before I rebooted my PC.
