Problem with ide-scsi module and lilo

I just installed a new kernel and updated my packages. After I did that I loaded the lilo configuration and got this error

ide-scsi: hda: unsupported command in request queue (0)
end_request: I/O error, dev 03:00 (hda), sector 0

I am new to linux and I don't understand what the problem is. I have tried google groups with little success

cat lilo.conf is:

prompt
timeout=50
default=linux
boot=/dev/hdc
map=/boot/map
install=/boot/boot.b
message=/boot/message
linear

image=/boot/vmlinuz-2.4.20-31.9
label=linux
initrd=/boot/initrd-2.4.20-31.9.img
read-only
append="hda=ide-scsi root=LABEL=/"
image=/boot/vmlinuz-2.4.20-6smp
label=linux-multi
initrd=/boot/initrd-2.4.20-6smp.img
read-only
append="hda=ide-scsi root=LABEL=/"

image=/boot/vmlinuz-2.4.20-6
label=linux-old
initrd=/boot/initrd-2.4.20-6.img
read-only
append="hda=ide-scsi root=LABEL=/"

cat /proc/modules is:

Just comment out the append="hda=ide-scsi" part. There's no need for it with the new 2.6 kernels.
