Problem with GRUB

I use a RH7.2 ver of linux on a 20 GB hard disk. I have Win 98 in another 10 GB (separate hard disk) and I have installed GRUB in Linux partition. I had a power cut during my computer operation (I was using XMMS), (unfortunately I do not have a UPS) and after that I found out that the entire file system got corrupted.

I formatted the disk containing linux completely and installed it afresh. To my dismay, after all installation, it says GRUB error 15. Now I can neither boot windows nor linux. I have used all those 'boot from linux CD, mount the sysimage, go to GRUB prompt and setup (hd....)' stuff but none of them are working.

ANy help?

Thanks in advance.

You need to provide more info.
Post here output of fdisk -l command. Also, post grub.conf, or menu.lst.
Have you changed anything in BIOS? What's your first boot device?

If you have formatted the HDD then the error of GRUB should not occur since it should have overwritten the previous install of GRUB too.

Get Toms Root boot
Check your linux partition.
Hope it should solve all errors.
